Occupational Therapy Testimony
My 3 1/2 year old little girl has Downs Syndrome, and has been treating with Shari for over 2 years. When you sign on with Sensory Link, you become part of the family. It's not like taking your child to therapy, it's going to visit Shari's playground where creative and stimulating activities are never-ending. Sensory Link has a passion and commitment rarely seen; they’re relentless in their pursuit of ways to help all children grow and develop to their fullest potential! Sensory Link is a real blessing to our kids.
They are pretty good with us difficult parents too : >

Sensory Learning Testimony
Since being diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder at 30 months, we feel like Noah can really hear us for the first time. He had been stuck in an impenetrable fog and had been acting out in order to elicit a dramatic, response from us that he could perceive. The Sensory Learning Program helped clear away the fog so that he can now hear us in our normal voices and respond appropriately.

At around the 12-day point in Sensory Learning therapy, Noah, 3 ½ at the time, exhibited sustained independent, imaginative play with a toy for the first time. He is now discovering toys that he’s had since he was a baby – looking and playing with them as if they are brand new.

Right after we completed the Sensory Learning therapy with Noah at the Sensory Learning Center of Pittsburgh Noah began drawing circles to represent heads around the faces that he previously drew floating on the paper. We’ve also seen big improvements in his speech, his ability to communicate more complex ideas, and an eagerness to share what he is thinking and feeling. Before Sensory Learning, we had only seen small improvements in speech after over a year of weekly speech therapy. It’s amazing what big gains he has made recently in just a few weeks after Sensory Learning. He’s playing cooperatively with others now, and brings toys to others to engage and ask them to join him in play.

Therapeutic Feeding Therapy Testimony
Before we were introduce to Shari from Sensory Link Pediatric Therapy (SLPT), our son was 3 years old and his diet consisted of stage 1 baby food and goldfish crackers. He weighed less than 30 pounds and had lost some of his front teeth due to a lack of nutrients in his diet. We had tried two other facilities that offer OT with no progress. Therefore, when we were referred to Shari from SLPT from a friend of ours we had renewed hope. SLPT came into our home and reassessed him. At the next session, he ate regular pudding with cookies crumbled inside. We couldn’t believe it. The progress that he has made with SLPT for his eating and sensory issues is amazing. He eats many regular adult foods now and has gained 10 pounds. For the first time in his life, Mateo has gone on all of the Kennywood rides this summer.

As parents of a child with difficulties, it’s so emotional seeing your child enjoying birthday parties, playing with his little friends, growing and having fun. Our son adores Miss Shari because he knows that he is eating better and that he is not afraid of loud noises anymore. Our lives are more normal now and the person responsible for that miracle is Shari. She is our guardian angel.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
